737Capt
I was just wondering if anyone can tell me how the driver entry package on the new 2011 Ford Edge works? I see there is a combination keypad by the door handle and was wondering if you need to punch in a code to open the doors and back gate or can you just open the doors if you have the key FOB in your pocket? No need to use the keypad. It's great if you do not have your keys on you and need to get into the vehicle
choff1138
No need to use the keypad. It's great if you do not have your keys on you and need to get into the vehicle You can use the keypad to lock the fob in your car if you are going skiing/swimming/adventuring that you don't want the fob left in your pocket. This basically kills your fob till the code is re-entered or the other fob unlocks the door. Making it so that if someone breaks in - they still can't just start the car and drive away. The drivers package also gives you the remote start factory installed and the remote open back gate. The package is totally worth the money.
