Satellie Radio Scanning Problem

Recommended Posts

I have a 2009 Ford Edge SEL. Just recently, I discovered that my satellite radio will not scan through all the channels - when i hit the scan button it jumps to channel 159-161, (the religious stations), nothing else.

Is there a solution to this?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

are you sure there is a scan button ?

Reason I ask is I have had several Sirius receivers (external, not built into the dash) that do not scan channels. They normally have station presets that you can set to you liking and a jump button (goes to your favorite) channel. But I've never seen a scan function. Normally you have to manually turn the knob or button on the unit itself to scroll through channels then you select the one you want.

I think you need to check the OM supplement and see how it's supposed to work. I don't remember a scan feature either.

Maybe the stereo is trying to tell you something?
