MikeE
Hi: I'm a new member to this forum having just bought a pre-owned 07 Edge SEL. Overall, I like the vehicle but the shifting bugs me. I'm not a motor enthusiast by any means. I just want a good reliable car. So, if I say some thing stupid, please pardon my error ... I read the manual and it states that there are 6 gears to this automatic. I've tried to "feel" all the shifts that lead up to my issue, and it seems that between the 3rd and 4th shift, that there is a "soft" spot in the transmission, where the RPM's will rev up several 100 only to go right back down quickly. I'd like to know that if this is common with this transmission or if I should have it checked out. with all the computerized stuff, idiot lights etc., it seems that if this were a REAL problem, I would have been warned. The computer gives no indication that there is a problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike E
