Sukks2bu
Hello all, first official post other than my NewB post. So here is my dilemma. My edge is Canadian, Built in Canada, Driven in Canada, but for some reason, every time I start the car, even after changing it to metric, it always goes back to Miles instead of remaining in KLM. So I thought if I disconnect the negative on the battery and let it sit, I would reset the computer, but this brings me to my next issue. How do you remove this clamp thing that is on the battery? It's not your normal loosen the bolt and slide the ring off. I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to cars, I have a heavily moded Mazda 6, and use these type of forums a lot, but I have never seen anything like the battery clamp. Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ablb
Here’s the same problem from 2009, doesn’t seem to have been resolved. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/3822-lincoln-mkx/page__p__29572__hl__metric__fromsearch__1#entry29572 Not sure of the proper way to drain power from ALL the systems. Someone told me to disconnect the positive (+) battery cable. This will prevent new power from entering the systems. Turn the key to ON. Turn on the lights. Step on the brake. Push any and all buttons. Go in the house and watch a sitcom. Turn the key off. Turn the lights off. Reconnect the battery cable. But I don’t think this will help with your problem . ab
