santashelper
Well I am now the proud owner of the fabulous Lincoln MKX 2011. I received it on the 26th of August 2010. I cannot believe all the items that are given in this monster of a car. It is absolutely loaded from top to bottom! There is a manual shift also for those who want to show off a bit!!! It is a great ride, comfortable and easy to control. Smooth over the bumpiest roads we have here. The stereo system sounds like you are sitting in a movie theatre watching your favorite film, only realizing that you are in your MKX AWD! I ordered this car because we wanted the new look of the front grill which is chromed out compared to the 2010 model which was plain looking. This is my first ford car and in the past I have had chrysler, and gm cars...this is a very pleasant upgrade and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase ..so far I can put some pictures up if interested.. rwbronco
congrats!! glad you like it and welcome to FEF! is the "manual shift" on the shifter itself or are they paddles on the steering wheel? I've only driven the Ford Edge Sport which has the paddles and they're remarkably fun.

It is the main shifter M under the d for drive.....I am ok with the upshift but to downshift I am not used to it or am just plain out bad at it!!! I know that the breaks on this MKX arent slipping as they were on my torrent (pontiac). When you break you feel secure knowing that you will stop or slow down when needed..
