I highly suggest you also get a relay harness to avoid damaging your original wiring in the event of a short or the HIDS draw too much power. http://www.xenon-man.com/Accessory_Canceller_Eliminator.html
Lex Talionis
as was said, but I think is crucial to across, get the relay harness he sells as well that is Edge specific if it did not come with it. I know some of his deals come with it but you do not mention it. the whole system is plug and play. just be sure to plug and play with the harness. I don't know about that antiflicker device. I do not have that and have no issues. seems to me the relay harness would address this by smoothing out the power flow. so I think "need" is debatable there. 4DOOR2NV
Lex, I agree that you may or may not need an antiflicker device. This may be more towards Canadians with the DRL. I know for sure that when I hooked up mine with a harness and had the headlights ON they were fine. When I turned them OFF and the DRL was active it was flickering like crazy. I then unplugged the harness and added my antiflicker device and all was well.

blaze u
My kit came with the harness for the ford edge. I'll try hooking everything up and see how it works out and if I need the anti flicker device. Thanks everyone for your help and advice. katiesdady
You don't need a relay because HID's use less power than regular bulbs. HID's run around 35 watts, regular bulbs are around 50. I installed them on mine and were plug and play. I got the 4300k because i wanted the most light and no blue.

I was one of the first RS sold HID adopters here. An Edge specific harness did not exist back then. I never had any issues. 2 years later, my SJB kooked out on me. The power flow issue started to make it self known later, but since I never had issues, I blew it off. Now I have the relay harness.
