Dualforce
Finally Took Delivery of my new Lincoln MKX. It is a very sweet and quiet ride. Still getting used to all the features and benefits from the car. Ā Hope everyone has as much fun as we did with the new car. choff1138
I'd prefer it without the wood too! Just wasn't an option. So if it has to have wood I think this isn't so bad. Ā Here are some better pictures with the BAMR open and some natural light. Ā Ā And I threw in a shot of the adaptive cruise control too. Ā Ā Ā Luv - got to say - for wood in a car - this is really pretty nice looking. I was expecting to be more a "doesn't bug me too much" thing, but I can say that it honestly looks pretty nice. Thanks for providing pic's before mine got here.
tpm419419
Just picked up my Limited AWD Edge Had to show the salesman that it came with a remote engine starter. Unfortunately its raining . I love that it shows little speed limit signs when possible in the nav screen Ā will post pictures toward end of week when the sun comes out

The dealer gave me a F150 truck to drive while they change my grille. The wood in it looks very cheap and shiny. I like my Edge's matte finished wood. I like it enough for it to grow on me. Still wouldn't pick it over non-wood option, but great for a wood option.
Lambuth80
Picked up my 2011 Edge Limited this past Wednesday. Tuxedo Black with Sienna interior, absolutely love it other than that crappy cargo cover which I promptly removed. Still learning all the ins and outs, but this is the most fun I have had with a vehicle in many years!

I also removed the cargo cover first thing but later realized that it is not so bad. Black with sienna seats must look awesome.
wilsons66604
I guess Andy Rooney won't be buying a Edge anytime soon. I didn't see 60 Minutes last night but heard about it. mleber
I happened to catch his opinions on the car maters. It did make me laugh too. I saw that the USA today article also noted his last words, "a BOTTLE of milk". I remember when I was about 10, I saw a milk man deliver a BOTTLE of milk to my house by accident. Now that he has put down smarter cars, internet connections, gps, streaming music, emailing, texting, and phones, in one single segment; I don't think he will have anything else to talk about. DrDetroit
We recieved our gold leaf metallic MKX on 9/8. Love it - drives like a dream - comfortable, powerful and technolicious. I just wish I could get the key fobs to recognize driver 1 and driver 2 positions - I even read the manual. mustang92
Hi all... we picked up our Kona Blue 2011 MKX on Sep 29. Have only put a little over 100 miles on it and love it. No fit/finish issues, everything works great. We haven't figured out a couple features yet, but we expected a huge learning curve. Ā My dealer had mine inside too - even let me pull it out. Only had 13 miles on it so I know that they didn't even take out test driving much. It was the first one they had gotten so I was a little surprised about that, but was really glad too. Ā I think I might have finally found the sweet spot for my chair. It is amazing how many different ways you can adjust it. My old car was from or back and recline.

luvford
I took delivery of my car in a thunderstorm. I had to inspect it in the rain while the salesman sat inside. Needless to say, I didn't get a bow either! I made sure to note that on my Ford Survey Ā That's a big bummer. Ā Mine was in the showroom. It didn't have a bow on it but I was happy it was inside. We were able to go over all the features and look it over under the lights. Ā I felt like I was in Europe at the BWM dealer. I was lucky enough to be in Germany when my friend took delivery of her X3. I was very impressed with the BMW delivery process. Ā Having my Edge in the showroom made the process all the more special! I got to drive it out too! :shades:
masonmovin925
just got my new 2011 lincoln mkx yesterday. had some issues with the navigation card not reading...iphone not hooking up...and some issues with the buttons on the steering wheel not working 100%. It is pretty though! Got white with tan interior with dark piping. I'm not used to it quite yet...and am a little scared about changing lanes with the headrests being so high. We'll see! Welcome to our world!! There are still a few bugs and the iPhone is at the top of that bug list. Let's hope that the next iPhone update AND sync update will help us all to get along! The head rests are BIG. I have BLIS but I have also learned how to adjust my mirrors. It's so much more comforting when you know you are not missing anything. Check out the the instructions on the Car Talk website. http://www.cartalk.c...atures/mirrors/ This really changed the way that I look at the world. They lead off by saying, For years, we'd been setting our side-view mirrors so that they gave us a view of the back corner of our cars. This is the way it's been done for generations - from grandfather, to father, to us! But we finally discovered something very interesting. The back corner of the car never moves. It always stays in the same exact place. So there's really no reason to keep an eye on it. By moving the side mirrors farther out, you can line up all three of your mirrors so they have minimal overlap -- and you can see everything behind you and beside you. http://www.cartalk.com/content/features/mirrors/CarTalkMirrors.pdf Edited October 25, 2010 by wilsons66604
hunter4814
Hi! I ordered a platinum white edge sport fwd fully loaded on september 20. Received the vin a week later, order was submitted to the factory on october 5, and has a build date of October 13. The customer service folks on twitter told me as of last wednesday (october 20) it is "in transit" and told me the same today. They say no ETA is available yet. But my dealer tells me it's still sitting at the "sport vendor". I'm a little concerned about this discrepancy. I'm not sure of who to believe, but i hope it hasn't been sitting at the vendor for over a week!
