bMullenix
I am putting in a Kenwood navi unit and got the PAC SWI-JACK unit so I can use the steering wheel controls. I have wired it as the instructions say, programmed it for 9 flashes, have the radio select toward the right number. Now it is time to program the buttons and that is where I am having difficulty. I turn to accessory and it flashes the correct amt of time. I push the Program button and the light comes on, but goes off soon after I release it (maybe a second). The instructions say the light is supposed to be on and I hit the steerwheel buttons in order as listed in the instructions..... but the light never comes on again on the PAC unit??? Hit program again and still nothing... no light. Anybody used this unit and have any ideas on what I am doing wrong??? Have the purple wire w/ a 100 ohm resistor to the white, then the white wire to the 18. Wire 19 goes to the ground via a patch cord. Thanks for the help. Did you connect the red wire to +12V switched? Bastian
blumi
Also, you have to connect pin 19 (Blue/White wire) of the vehicle connector to ground! This is, what I forgot in my installation back in the days. It's mentioned in the instructions, but it's overlooked easily.
