livinonthedge
Waiting on my katzkins leather kit to come in so I started playing with the interior a little bit. Took possesion of the car yesterday and the mods began 15 minutes after I got home.
livinonthedge
The inside of the cup holers will be sprayed in a semi reflective black so that when I add my lighting in the cup holder it can me nice and bright. The front cubby will be a matte black and has a rubber mat that goes in there also.

livinonthedge
Here is what I added to kind of round up the color matching. Waiting for my LED's to come in to get the cupholders finished. Doing an ambient lighting mod for the front, cups and the rear also. Should be very similar to the ford ambient light kit but for a great deal less money.
pxb006
What kind of kit did you use?
livinonthedge
What kind of kit did you use? It's not a kit. The parts are all painted using the same paint as you would on the exterior. Base coat, clear coat. I have to rework two pieces for small runs but other than that it came out ok.

Thanks man, its still a work in progress, but in the next few months it will come together nicely. The wheels, and katzkins kit and some other goodies will change the appearence considerably. Thanks again for the kind words.

I guess you matched the trim colors with the exterior paint color of your Edge. I have the Titanium White so I'm not sure I would get the same dramatic effect. I am still waiting on my ambient light kit for 3 weeks now. Let me know if you get yours and I will do the same.

mooshin
Looks like a Honda Civic in the making, Hey. I take offense to that. I actually have owned a few and even have had one in multiple magazines. None of them, looked anything like that crap posted.
normcloutier
What are you using for the ambient light kit? Ford decided to take the lighting out of the 13 SEL so I am looking to add something aftermarket.
sprsnake_wishin
That looks sweet in my opinion. gives me an idea or two as well. What about painting the metal bezel around the radio to a satin or flat black? All depends on which way your going with your interior though, I really just want to know how the heck to get that metal bezel off so I can tackle mine, has a dent in it that needs to be fixed. Ya I second the previous question, how are you going about the ambient lighting install? Curious to know
stkedge
What paint did you use? Was it custom mixed or did you use a duplicolor paint? What type of prep did you do also? I would like to do the same to my vehicle but in white to match my paint. Your work looks clean great job
