Grupet
I'm about to update my 3g. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks... But now i have a new problem... I deleted the iPhone from SYNC, because i wanted to re-pair it, but now sync can't find the iPhone, so now nothing is working :-( None of my devices (Garmin navigation, MacBook Pro, iPad) can find the iPhone after updating to iOS4

igcitng
Resync the iPhone and reboot it and try again. Mine is fine. And be sure that you actually deleted it from Ford Sync, if it is still there it won't let you add another.

igcitng
The problem is my Bluetooth is not working after udating to iOS4. I can't pair it to any of my devices like SYNC, Macbook and iPad... :-( Why I am suggesting re-syncing the iPhone with iTunes and rebooting it. If it did not completely load it won't work correctly. That update was long and there was a second update that needed to be downloaded after the initial one. If it is not syncing with all of those devices it sounds like the phone is the common denominator. Hopefully it works for you soon.

DKS
I have an iphone with 4.0.1 software. I just upgraded this weekend with 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Previous owner didn't do much. I also took it to the dealer for the new 2.1 software. My phone and music are working as well as I can expect. Some things won't work like texting, but playing music throught bluetooth or the USB works perfectly well. My phone works fine. I have not messed with voice recognition yet because I just put it all together today and the heat index is over 110 here today. I may be just lucky but I, so far, have not had the issues I have read about. :yup:
chloe13
I have Sync 3.0 and just replaced my 3G with the iPhone 4 no problems. I didn't have any issue with the phonebook and the IP4, possible solution or reason being that I actually had accidentally turned off the autodownload option. Someone else over at Apple's forum also turned off autodownload, intentionally, after initially syncing his phonebook and now has no problem. Your contacts can always be synced manually after that whenever you feel like it needs it. I have an iphone with 4.0.1 software. I just upgraded this weekend with 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. jukikee
Same problem. My iPhone4 works with Sync, but it cannot download my phonebook. Same problem here too- My iPhone4 works with Sync but can't download my phonebook. At least, I don't know how to do it.... it doesn't happen automatically. Also, is there a way to have the car recognize the phone each time I get in? I'm having to go into the menu each time to find BT device....
