Ghastly
My 2008 Edge Limited has the chrome fog light bezels. They look "used" due to road wear, chips, etc. I'd like to replace them with the black 2010 Edge "Sport" bezels. Has anyone else tried this? Any advice on where to get the parts (cheaper the better) and how easy the swap is? Finally, if anyone has any pics of the fogs with the black bezels, it would be nice to see them. Thanks in advance! wkevingossett
Searching the forum would have turned this up. Many have done the mod, and you don't need to buy additional parts...

Thanks for the re-direct. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment to go sandblasting my bezels. Painting them over might be a cheaper option than buying the Sport inserts. However, they are still pretty pitted from road sand and such. I did do a search on Fog lights that didn't turn up the post you mentioned. Perhaps due to the posted spelling it "foglights". Oh well. Thanks again for the suggestions . . . Ghastly
NBAworm
Are the sport bezels really the same? They seem to be more "sunken" in the bumper, but I guess they could still be the same part in black plastic... Would be interesting to know. I do have an extra set of chrome fog bezels I'd be willing to sell cheaply if you want to go the scuff/spray route like many of us have. Franklee
Another option would be to spray them with black Plasti Dip. I saw Plasti Dip used successfully for chrome plastic parts on another of my automotive forums . Edited July 1, 2010 by Franklee
Ghastly
Another option would be to spray them with black Plasti Dip. I saw Plasti Dip used successfully for chrome plastic parts on another of my automotive forums . The Plasti_Dip looks interesteing and seems to be available at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. However, I'd be concerned that the extra "layer" might interfere with the fit. It's certainly worth a try. I wonder how it would stand up to road debris (sand, salt, water, rocks, etc) compared to a paint product . . . .
peter_nyc
I painted mine with truck bed spray paint from home depot for $8. I did three coats and they look great. I took the truck for a long drive and no damage yet.

rapi99
Hello, is there a difference between the Edge and the MKX Bezel (MKX is a little bit larger)? Nothing "pop´s out" on my MKX...want to install some DRL in the bezel. Thanks, Ralph
