Edwina
I bought my 2010 Edge yesterday (woohoo) and started to mess around with the Sync system. I plugged in my ipod through the USB port and it never turns off. I can turn my car off and leave, but the ipod continues to run and I am afraid that it is draining my battery. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know about this but lets the ipod remain plugged in because it's not going to drain the battery fast enough? makidada
:shades: If the iPod is plugged into the USB port it is also charging. My iPod touch does not keep playing, it picks up where I left off when I get back in the car. However, my 160 gb ipod does not play through th eUSB por, but it does charge. Hope that helps. :shades:

wkevingossett
By "never turns off," do you mean beyond the accessory delay? As in, when you turn the ignition off, the radio continues to play for 10 minutes or until a door is opened. Is it staying on beyond that time frame? I leave my iPod plugged in all the time and have never had battery issues. Plus, the iPod doesn't completely "turn off." It sleeps. And while it is sleeping it shouldn't be drawing any power if the car is not on.
Theakerr
In the 20 months I had my 07, exactly what you describe happened perhaps twice, three times at most. Never did figure it out. Have not had the 2010 very long so cannot comment. However, my 2010 now stays synced most of the time when I switch off the engine. On my 07 I think it only remained synced about 10 times, the rest of the time i had to re-sync it every time I switched on the engine. Simply thought that was how it was supposed to be, so I never questioned it at the dealer.
