4DOOR2NV
I took out my HID retro kit from my old car and I want to put it in my Edge. I know I need H11 bulbs, my question is can I just hook it up directly and it will work? Or do I need a capasitor or something extra to install them? dd-bot
you will need relays and capacitors, I don't remember how many uF for the capacitors, but I can check that out for you, I had my HID kit installed few months ago, It works great. 4DOOR2NV
Over the weekend I installed my HID's for the low beams and fog lights. I did need a resistor due to DRL not putting enough wattage out and it started to flicker. I added a anti flicker device (resistor) and it works perfectly. As for the fogs, one good note to point out is that it is extremely cramped trying to get it from the bottom and you have to take off the harness before trying to twist out the bulb. I'll add a pic soon.

ThinLine
For those of you who installed an HID kit and it actually works properly.....more power to you. If you have the automatic on headlights and you have had no issues.....I mean everything works like stock and both lights fire and stay on......chime in on what kit you have and price. Thanks. Manny Domingues
Ok so I am thinking about changing the lamps out fro HID. Can anyone advise why a vehicle with Auto Lights and DRL have issues requiring a Resistor or some other items. The DRL are actually the High Beams and I would not be changing those only the Low beams for now. Then maybe in the future the fogs. Don't use the High Beams enough to warrant changing them out. Your input / opinion is appreciated.
