lynrich04
My fwd 09 edge recently got stuck in the snow/ice as i was backing out of driveway. As I turned steering wheel I heard a loud clicking and noticed the traction control light flicker on and off, is this normal? MOFSTEEL
If you were losing traction and your tires were spinning then yes.

Thanks, I kinda figured that with the traction control light, but..that was a really nasty loud sounding click(thump).

Our 2010 is FWD and it does the same thing. Wether its normal or not I don not know (even though I will assume that it is) since it only does it when the road is slick (ice/snow) My guess is that the breaks are functioning to reduce/stop the wheel spin when the traction control engages. As for the flickering of the light. Ours will flash about 2 or 3 times and then stop. You could take it to the Dealer and have it looked at, but its probably nothing.
