NEW2EDGE
I hope I'm not repeating a topic already posted previously but a search didn't bring up any results about the problem I am having. The little rubber tray at the top of the dash is discolouring. I started to show "brownish" marks so I thought maybe something I had put in the tray rubbed off and left something behind. So I washed it out with some mild dish soap and water and now the entire rubber has turned "brownish' Atleast the top side has, the underneath of the tray is still black. Has anyone else run into this or know if the tray can fade from sunlight. I am goint to try either Armour All or Black Back to see if it helps. I would appreciate any other input or advise before I potentially make matters even worse. Thanks

Might want to look into getting a new one and keeping a fresh coat of protectant on it like Meguires Interior Detailer. I wouldn't use Armor All. Platinum White
Put a piece of black felt or short nap carpet over it. Replace as necessary, cheap and effective UF protector.
Lex Talionis
not only did mine do this. but it became grossly "sticky" - they replaced it free for me. it was not sun fading, it was some sort of bad defect on the rubber on mine. My insert did the same as well. The dealer replaced it. If you have to buy it, it only costs about $20. I have another as a spare in the garage so when the new one fades, I can just whip it out and replace it. No need to stop again at the dealer. Theakerr
Mine did same. Wanted it replaced. Dealer cleaned it up with something. Looks like new. This was a year ago.

It was slightly dirty so my wife decided to wash it off in some luke warm water. It turned brownish. Does anyone have the part number of the insert so I could order another?
