dasher
Whenever I open the Panoramic roof shade to let in light I hear a rattling sound when going over the smallest of bumps. It doesn't matter how far I open the shade. The sound only goes away when the shade is completely closed. It sounds like it could be a cable bouncing between the headliner and the actual body of the vehicle. Those of you with the Panoramic Roof, is this normal? securinu
check the trim around the back BAMR glass as it has a TSB that the glue on the velcro gives up the ghost. take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

Is the TSB for all years? We have an 2010 Limited with just a bit over 3000 miles. We have the same noise as well, but its nothing major since it seems that all the seals are tight. We only hear it if the radio is off as well. Will close the shade to see if the nose still persists.

Mine is a 2010 Limited as well with 2000 miles. I do not see any TSBs listed for this model, infact there are none for 2010 Edges listed yet. I will check out the trim as suggested above and most likely end up taking it to the dealer. Sigh...
Jhnny407
And I thought I was going nuts! Same issue here - 2010 Limited rattles like crazy with the shade open. Something to add to the list of issues to take care of at the first oil change.
DJ Nap
I put a couple of drops of super glue on the velcro and BAM! Quiet....I hate having techs crawl all around in the Edge..if i can solve it, I will.
dasher
I put a couple of drops of super glue on the velcro and BAM! Quiet....I hate having techs crawl all around in the Edge..if i can solve it, I will. Where abouts should I be looking? Does the BAMR need to be open to see the loose velcro? Update: Nevermind. I think I see the piece of trim you and securinu are talking about. I'll have to check it out later in the week when I have sime time and someone sitting in the back to help test this theory. If it's something I can fix myself great! Update 2: I pressed the piece of trim up against the glass and the rattling appears to have stopped. Thanks everyone! You saved me a trip to the dealer. k_m
Can we get a pic of exactly where you applied the glue? Thanks
mccolganr
WOW! I have a 2010 Edge and rattles like crazy!! Going to the dealer for the 2nd time on Monday. What is BAMR?? Wher should I find the loose pice. I also have some creaking noise that sounds like it coming from the rear passenger door area. But the VISTA roof is very bothersome!
