kempie
I have the OEM speakers that I replaced in the 07 MKX. They have the crossover elects. mounted to the speakers for a separate tweeter to plug in to. My question is; can I remove the crossover elects. and put it on another speaker to use a seperate tweeter with another (better) speaker? Thanks for any help or info, Bill

Each crossover is designed for use with a specific speaker model. Although it may work you most likely will compromise the audio quality. You should use the crossover that was made for the specific speaker you are installing. Here is a good wiki about crossovers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_crossover
kempie
Thanks Tribby. I thought it would be too simple to just make the switch to another speaker. Guess I'll have to spend some money to get the tweeter going.
