jobear
Hey all, My satellite radio subscription is expirig. I have the factory three month deal at the moment. What functions besides traffic am I going to lose off of the Nav / Sync unit in my 2010 model? What other than the radio would want to make me renew? I have a ton of music loaded so that isn't a problem. thanks
securinu
you could unplug the power harness for a while and it wont recieve the shutdown signal. then it will work forever after that. you might need to leave it off for several weeks though. our old xm rep told us this . Is the antenna in the rear feeding the nav system also?
CorporateEdge
If you are in to talk radio and travel somewhere remote where you have really limited choices then thats what you will loose. If you follow a particular program (ie Howard Stern etc..) then that may also be a reason to renew. Like you I have a ton of music on a flash stick and I have all my favorite talk shows on AM presets so I missed nothing when the freebie ended. Its a personal call but to me it was a service I was not willing to pay for. (like on star in my old GM).

Can you provide more information where is the power harness located? Are there any other precautions before doing this? Will this just affect the Satellite Radio? Thank you.
