Just updated my 2007 MKX from a 4P series to a 10P. Found the update on ebay for half the cost that Navteq wanted. Replace the old disk and everything works great.

I don't think so. According to Navteq, the producer of or DVD's, 8P is the latest - U0016-0075-904

Is there anyway to get the Nav to show elevation? hell this is what GPS are made for..

and GPS can include elevation, but has nothing to do with it nor was made to show/include elevation as that has no bearing on determining location in a GPS.

That 1K $’s or what ever we DID NOT spend on the factory nav gets bigger every day.

 

Our el’cheepO Magellan RoadMate says we are at 875’ (Dallas/Ft worth area) above sea level; our property in Colorado is 8850’, etc.

Not very important JUST another example of why Ford, Nissan, etc, etc nav systems are not worth the $’S.

 

OH one other little item. Just checked with Magellan….. $79.99 to update the software.

 

I REALLY would prefer to have a factory installed nav system BUT until they catch up with the hand held units, I’ll save my $’s.
