Osiris1975
As I continue my search for "The Edge" for me, I am finding it hard to find the package I am looking for at my price range. So, I'm thinking of dropping the leather seat requirement and doing it aftermarket. Has anyone put in aftermarket leather in an edge and if so was the quality of fit and finish good? pxb006
I had my seats covered in black and grey leather by Classic Soft Trim. They were recommended to me by the salesman that sold me my Edge. The quality of leather is much better than what comes from the factory and the fit is perfect. Cost was about $1200, but well worth it. Edited December 23, 2009 by pxb006

I know of a few Explorer owners that used the Katzkin's and they were very happy. Ford sells them as an accessorie http://katzkin2.com/FORD/
Edgieguy
One of the local shops does a lot of custom interiors using Katzkins leather interiors. They always look awesome.

Do you have to remove the seats to install the Katzkin leather covering - or do they just "slip" over the existing cloth material seat? They have to be removed to get the desired look/fit. They are not some cheapo slip covers you get from an autoparts store. Here's a link to their site. http://katzkin.com/main.html I'm sure if you are somewhat skilled you can do the install yourself. I believe they sell an install kit. They can redo the foam and/or the seat covers as needed.
