ablb
Great minds think alike. I’ve wanted to use my GTimer on our MKX. Looks like he launches at about 18, 1900 RPM. The video stops at about :06?? just short of 60, Edges' are supposed to do it in the high :07's. Speaking of 60. I won’t bet the next paycheck but I would bet a LOT that an indicated 60 is really 58 or 59 MPH. I’ll take my GPS and camera when I get a chance to make a couple of 0 to 60’s. ab
flyerjmr33
My speedometer reads one mph higher than my GPS at a steady 60. This is the most accurate speedometer I have ever had on a new vehicle!
ablb
My speedometer reads one mph higher than my GPS at a steady 60. This is the most accurate speedometer I have ever had on a new vehicle! On one of the BMW forum’s they have a link that states it is against German law to sell a car in Germany that reads the TRUE speed of the car, THEY have to show you’re going faster than you are. When I put (Edit: change +1) +0 tires on my F250 the speedometer and 3 GPS’s all agree, before it was 2 MPH slower than the GPS. A friend received an extended warranty from a “class action” because not only did his 06 Honda speedometer read wrong but so did the odometer. Which is pretty bad on their part, it was hurting their C A F E. ab Edited December 13, 2009 by ablb
LivingEdgey
Did you all notice the video right after that? Same Ford Edge going from 60 to 120 mph.

My wife's Hyundai SanteFe's Speedometer id dead nuts on--- after I went one size larger with the tires!
ablb
Obviously I need to work on my launch. I’ve always noticed how easy it is to spin the tires. Here’s my best effort and a couple other pics. I was surprised at how accurate the speedometer is. ab Edited December 15, 2009 by ablb
