Hurtman
My happy level rises for every person I steer towards Retro-Solution and HIDS. I wish they had a listed phone number so I could call and thank them. Oh yeah, a special shout out to "BlazedUp" for taking one for the team and being the "Guinea Pig" "Sacrificial Lamb" "Test Case" etc... Thanks for the Edge Specific Harness Blazed, Happy Birthday. BlazedUp
Thats the one thing I am glad about Hurt....your welcome. I just wish they could have sent me the right harness after my trial and errors. I'm glad you are having no issues, that is the way it should be, but not always the case with aftermarket. Like I have said, Todd did work with me on this but it could have been handled better. I agree they do have better customer service than others, but with any aftermarket mod, there is a risk of damaging other components on the vehicle. Now you can reap the bennies of my R&D if you will, and have a kit that actually works as it should. Thanks for the shout Hurt.......turning 30 doesn't really bother me as much as I thought it would. After all, I have been going downhill since 25 ! hahaha. I believe I reached a plateau for now....or at least until I turn 40 !! Hurtman
Hey Blazed, that was supposed to be a DIG! Guess it's hard to relay sarcasm over the net. Oh well. I did mean the Happy Birthday part, on a serious note.
ablb
I too have several friends and relatives I am referring to Retro. I wish I received all the stuff I order on the internet as fast as Retro delivers. My son bought some HID's for his Tahoe from some other Co. He sent them back, bulbs wouldn't even fit. How's blazeddown :boring: doing? He has the honor of being the first and only on my "Ignored User" list. ab Edited November 21, 2009 by ablb
BlazedUp
I caught the sarcasm Hurt....just wanted to make sure you all understand I do not wish you to have problems/issues....I am here to help. Just letting everyone know what can happen with these kits. More research should have been done before selling HID's for the Edge. I was the sole reason for the "edge specific" harness so that now people can get a kit that works.......The kits retro sells are the same overseas garbage that you can get for $89.99. Just look at the cheezy cardboard suitcase with the foreign mispelled words on it.......I mean come on "disambleor" can you say phillipines. Anyone can make a flashy web site trashing other HID companies and claim your kits are the best on the market......check other sites..they all say "this is the best HID kit on the market" Edited November 22, 2009 by BlazedUp

PrinzII
If I had known about Todd before I bought my HIDs, I would have bought them from him because of his helpfulness. However, the HIDs I did get were from a company who's got the same level of customer service. For those who have read the drivel from BlazedUp, there are more of us who have HIDs that work than those that don't. I am one of those who's got not only low beam HIDs but high beam as well (Dark AZ roads) and have had no ill effect.
ThinLine
I was seriously considering HID's.....after all I have read on here, I think that it is just not worth all the trouble and hassles that may arise in respect to warranty and what not.
