abowie
The past 4 vehicles I've owned have been Ford models. Right now I own an 08 SEL Edge and enjoy the drive. I would have preferred Ford to install an oil pressure, battery amp and engine temp gauge (marked with degrees) in the Edge's dashboard rather than the saucer size tachometer. Most drivers don't use a tach to drive by....especially with an automatic trans. The other gauges would have been more practical for the average driver. We all know when you see a red "dummy light" come on it's too late..... Curious if anyone else has the same thoughts about this....thanks
kempie
The "average driver" needs red dash lights flashing and maybe a shock through the seat bottom to alert them to a malfunction. I also would like to see more gauges on the dash and would like to thing I would monitor them. Although, when the head gasket blew on my Cad. at 75 mph. on I-69 I didnt notice the temp. untill the red light came on. Maybe I'm an average driver...... midnapore
Wow, I looked through the entire manual Index and could not find a temp gauge heading. I agree with the guy that started this post, I would also rather see a temp gauge. The tach is only good for the paddle shift. What a suprise, we will just have to get used to it.
