PJFW8
Today Ford allowed retirees to drive 2010's. The 2011 Edge/MKX was supposed to be available. If a retiree could please post their impressions.... I am especially interested in interior upgrades/changes. We all wonder about the Ecoboost...3.5 or 2.0 (or both?) Obviously, there may be limits on what can be said or shown, but general comments should be fine. I love my '08 but am ready to upgrade! Waldo
Not sure where you got your info from, but the only 2011 Edges that exist are fully camouflaged, hand-built prototype test vehicles. Those cars are usually in very short supply and would never be used for a retiree ride and drive. Maybe there was a studio property shown, but that's it. I'm a guest member of their retiree club. Although I read the newsletter carefully, perhaps I misunderstood or it was not accurate! There was no mention of the Fiesta,C-max or other early 11's. Your reply makes sense. Edited October 27, 2009 by PJFW8

tpm419419
you can put one in yours I understated that Lex I do not have Nav plus it is a lease. If I were to buy it out I think I would invest in it. (have a bad neck) Thanks

MKX2007
I also have seen the new edge an mkx .I heard that there will be a 2.5 ecoboost engine an regular 3.5.Mkx will also have a 3.7 offered no ecoboost I hope your wrong on no 3.5 Ecoboost on the MKX. That 4 cylinder will have the same or even more hp than the current 3.5L. It's not a performance option - it's a fuel savings option. lowesdell
Does anybody have information on when the 2011 Edge will be out? If so, is it just something you heard or is it a good source? I had heard Spring of '10. I asked at a dealer but they knew nothing about it. I don't know if that is true or they just want to sell the 2010's. Grey
Last I heard was that they would begin building the 2011's (Edge and MKX's) the second week in May. Order guides should be out in mid-Jan. We won't have pricing, but can see the order options at that time. stevede
No 2011 Ford Edge or MKX at the LA Auto Show on Friday. Most likely will see it at the New York Auto Show in early April. That's what happened with the 2010 Taurus unveiling.
Ziggy415
you can put one in yours Hi Lex--you say you can put one in....do you know how to go about doing that? Does the dealership have to do it themselves....or if you alter, would it void out any warranties?
3 Bar Grille
Pics from Autoblog: http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/spy-shots-2011-ford-edge/#2 Looks like it's gettting the fusion grille treatment, Fiesta foglights and new tail lamps. Blue lighting in the interior I would think.

lowesdell
Does anybody know when job 1 is for the Edge? Is it basically the same as for the MKX? Will Edge have Ecoboost?
