rboe
37K miles on my 2007 SEL FWD and at least one tire is getting close to the wear bars (the others look good so this might be the one that had to have a plug). These are the Continentals. I've been happy with them so I have no reason to avoid them, then again, don't really have a good reason to buy then again unless I can't find something to sway me. So: What's a good tire out there? 90% city driving, 19% road trips and 1% on dirt roads. Front wheel drive, Arizona heat - I've only seen snow once with this car. 245/60 18" units. The only thing I really don't like are the rims but not enough to throw money at them. Have a motorcycle that does that! So tell me what you like and why. The Michelin Latitude Tour HP that came as OEM on the 2008+ models has been great - no complaints whatsoever. The 18" version is only $128 on Tirerack.com right now. feelin edgy
The Pirelli scorpions that came on my wifes edge did a very nice job in the snow this past winter. They are of course 20 inchers.
rboe
Michelins sound good. My mechanic's only gripe about the Conti's is that they tend to drop lines a lot making it difficult to replace one of four tires at times. awake33
Yokohama Parada Spec-X (Street/Sport Truck All-Season) He asked what and why. I've heard of these, but would also like to know why they are a good choice.
skorch52
General Grabber HTS, 255/55-18 We replaced the OEM Conti's at about 35,000 miles. The Generals didn't come in the factory size, but the size we bought are very close, look and handle very well. They are a little softer sidewall, and that shows up with a little smoother highway ride, but a little bit more flex around town. The wet handling is much better. Haven't driven them in the snow yet, but they are supposed to be very good. Overall I'm extremely pleased with these tires - great value. Getting a feel for aftermarket tires on cars/crossovers it a lot tougher than motorcycles. Naturally it is less critical than a motorcycle - but dang - I have yet to find a review site on these tires.

BigDeluxe79
I have Goodyear Fortera on my 2007 SEL FWD. They seem to ride nice, and have excellent grip. I haven't driven in the snow with them yet, but they seem to do quite well in rain. The noise level isn't bad either. Just my 2 cents. klc317
IIRC, the deal is still good on buying 4 Michelins that you get a $70 mail-in rebate. I got ours from TireRack and have no complaints at all, great all around tires. We got the Michelin Latitude Tours. We chucked our continentals at around 30k miles. We got a set of Hankook AS Ventus class z tires. They came with the lincoln wheels. (20 inch chromes) They are pretty darn good! Mr. Westfield
I have Firestone Destination tires on my Edge and they are quiet and track well in the rain. Good price too.
LIVIO
In the 245/60/18 size I would go with the Michelin LTX M/S tire myself. Livio
