ApexEdge
I am thinking of purchasing some 20 inch wheels with a 38 offset. Most of the websites recommend a high offset for the Edge. I have seen several people on this board running 275/45/20's with a 20mm offset 20" wheel. Couple of questions here: 1. the 20MM offset creates more space between the suspension and the tire edge (12mm to be exact), however the wheel/tire will stick out 38MM more than stock Did those that went with the 20MM offset go with this so that the 275 series tire would not rub??? 2. I want to go wit hthe higher 38MM offset because I prefer the wheels to tuck because I don't want the tires spraying road debris down the side of the car. BUT, wht a 38MM offset, it pushes the rim 6MM closer to the suspension. So my concern is that I probably should not run a 275 tire for fear of rubbing. Most of the tire shops recommend a 265 or 255 tire over the 275. Thoughts, comments??? Anyone running a 275/45/20 Tire with a high offset of 35+??? Any rubbing or issues to mention??? Thanks! blaze u
Not sure how much this will help, but I run a 285/35/22 on a 9.5 rim, 35mm offset. The tires don't rub anywhere or stick out and i'm on h&r springs.
