t0etager
Hey, I have a Gerber machine at work and made up some vinyl’s for my emblems they turned out nice. I didn’t go too detailed just flat black with a gloss black EDGE in center. If anyone would like some made up I don’t mind cutting some out. Just need a few people so I can get them all done at once. Let me know what words you would like in the center and ill start up a list, I wont be making any graphics on them just words as graphics would take a while to draw up on the system. :stats: Just my way of saying thanks for all the great mod ideas you guys come up with my ride is slowly coming together. Oh ill post a pic of mine maybe tomorrow so you can get an idea. Sean Had to wait for some daylight on the pics. I measured the oval and just inserted the size into the machine and it cuts it. This is for the front and back. Making the ford in the oval would be though for me as im not a pro at this machine. As for holding up we use thise decals on aircraft which are cruzin prety fast and dont come off. They do conform to the oval just use a little soap/water combo like used for tint to get it lined up. There are other colors of vinyl at the shop like red blue green so on not sure if anyone wants a bright one like that or not. I didnt realy think of the one on the steering wheel or rims. P.S. they are realy easy to change out too im not happy with the font and will be changing it out just peel clean and stick. wkevingossett
I would probably be interested in this... Are you talking about the front or back? Or both? Can't wait to see the pics!

igcitng
Lex-you are too funny. I want some. Earlier this week I revived a thread about these decals from webxtremes.com, someone had put some on their edge and I was wondering if they held up. No answer. Can you do the different sizes or just the big one in the back? Because there is the back the front the steering wheel and the centers of the rims. But covering that monster on the back would be good enough.
Lex Talionis
yeah, photos are the key - they will sell me on the product or not as I will be able to tell (1) quality (2) design (3) fitment - no gaps and overlap for example. I am not a huge fan of these on concept as I find it hard to believe they would stick over time and wonder how well they actually fit and conform to the concave surface. I have no idea of knowing if that is true, but I just wonder if in time the edges peel up and it just ends up needing to be taken off as it looks ghetto? I saw igcitng's post on how well the vinyl holds up, but saw no answer. Oh, BTW... if your asking Sean, I think just the word "EDGE" in similar styled font to the stock Emblem would be clean. igcitng
http://www.webxtremes.com/ This place does custom stuff too, just can't do 'Ford' which is too bad because I wouldn't mind just a color change. To me it looks like the sticker fits the middle of the oval, not out to the edges so less curve to make.

igcitng
Maybe someone should make a light up one like the hitch covers. It does distract from the third brake lite it is so big. Or sell the space for advertising. Oh wait, Ford already did that.
Lex Talionis
not bad, good start, but yeah, that font is kind of... kind of.. kind of expect to see it as a tattoo across the chest of a gang banger can you take a stand back photo for better persepctive as well? t0etager
Yeah i got the same impression after looking at it but maybe change it tomorrow and get back with you on a standback photo.
wkevingossett
This might be a stupid question, but can the emblems themselves be painted? i.e. Paint the blue to black, etc...
t0etager
This might be a stupid question, but can the emblems themselves be painted? i.e. Paint the blue to black, etc... Im not sure the paint would stick well and scuff sanding the emblem to try would leave it jacked up without a doable fix besides covering it. I removed the old vinyls on mine and it didnt even leave a residue. Granted they were only on for a week or so but the glue will come off with alcohol regardless.
