Renegade Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 Just bought a used MKX Limited with the digital info. center.I have the similar system in my 2008 F150 Lariat, and we have found with the MKX when you switch to Metric readings from English, when you turn it off and restart it defaults back to English and you have to reset it again.My F150 isn't that way.It remains in whatever mode you set it.Am i doing something wrong? There is a similar problem with turning off the reverse sensing system. It's supposed to remember but it doesn't. I wonder if it's a system problem with retained memory? Renegade Posted August 10, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 Good question.Just got it on Saturday and haven't tried disabling the parking sensors yet.I will try that tonight.I know my Lariat P/U when you disable the sensors it stays that way till you enable them again. akirby Posted August 27, 2009 Report Share Posted August 27, 2009 It is supposed to stay off if you turn it off via the message center setup. It worked that way on my 03 Aviator and I think that's how it's supposed to work here but it doesn't and I haven't heard of a fix. It would require a new PCM version.
