Auxiliary Line-In and IPOD

Recommended Posts

Hello all. New to this forum.

Fairly recently purchased a 2007 MKX and just noticed that when I plug an IPOD into the line-in jack in the console, and set the AUX setting to Line-in, I get nothing. IPOD plays, volume is set, correct cable, but nothing. Read the manual and tried it a dozen times to know avail. I dont have the navigation system or the other gadgetry, just the stereo/CD setup....although I dont think that should make a difference.

Anyone have any similar experience or suggestions? Thank. Steve.

the key software upgrades that have been released - EXCEPT for the 911/Healthreport - which would not address this anyway - can be downloaded and self installed via the USB port. no need to go to dealer to have it done. there have been 2 that you can do, the last one incorporates both updates, and can be self done. directions and downloads can be found at syncmyride.com I would do the self updates for sure!

Thanks all for the replies. I think I'll stop by the dealer first and inquire about it. I'll verify that they have the same results as I and then I'll take it from there. Hopefully the interior doesnt have to be torn apart. If so, I think I'll just let it go. Thanks.

you have a USB port option, no? if so, and no other device, why not just use that as that can also charge the iPod at the same time. 1 great benefit alone.

but hey, the inline should work as you bought it to work.

Actually I dont know of the USB port option. The MKX is loaded other than the lack of Nav & Sat radio. I dont see a

USB port anywhere, but maybe I'm not looking in the correct places? I didnt notice any mention of it in the manual either.
