wkevingossett
I just installed a new Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD this morning, adding bluetooth and iPod functionality. I also used a relay bypass for the video lockout, but it still won't show video. The sound plays, but when I switch the source to video it pauses. Any help would be appreciated! baum
How did you hook the relay up? technically you dont need a relay all you need to do is ground the lt green (brake) wire.
wkevingossett
To be more specific, the DVD player works just fine with the relay, just the iPod video is what is giving me problems. If you just ground the brake wire, the unit senses the constant ground and locks the video out. There has to be a pulsed ground, which is what the relay does. On the relay, pin 30 is connected to the brake wire, 85 to system remote, 86 and 87 grounded. DVD works like a charm, but the iPod video pauses everytime I switch to it. wkevingossett
So apparently it was just a matter of changing a few settings on the unit... All is well now!

Any help would be appreciated! you are going to have to ground the parking brake wire to the metal bracket in the housing for the dash.
