mradin
All - Time to install a 2" receiver. I am choosing between Curt and Draw Tite. I want (i) a low profile, clean look, and (ii) a long wearing finish so it does not rust (up here in the Northeast - harsh winders). Do they both look the same once installed? Is the Curt any better than the Draw Tite in terms of finish to the metal - or vice versa?
weasel
I have a Curt on my VW for a year now and it is holding up well. When I requested a hitch to be installed on the Edge, it came with a Curt ( odd coincidence ). It would be nice if someone was smart enough to make these in stainless ... PSUFetch
Here's a picture of a Curt on our Edge. Pic This thread has another pic as well. It does hang down below the fascia, but The black finish doesn't make it too obvious. Curt Hitch Pics
Lex Talionis
I cannot comment on the diff per se.. I would say 90% of the people here have the Curt. which kind of says something. 1 photo in my gallery. I would NOT want one that goes into the fascia so the fascia has to be cut... below looks/is awesome. now, I do recall, not sure what brand (HH??) and it is mentioned in a different hitch thread, that only uses 4 bolts to attach the hitch. Curt uses 6 bolts and thus, requires you to drill 2 new holes. So, that is effort/time for install BUT is also a bit more stable.
