Kellmac
Regarding my 2020 Ford Edge. Local automatic car wash pulled my color keyed left back door lower molding off. Part appears undamaged. When I pop it back in place it doesn’t seem to hold tight. Are there clips for this piece? Or an adhesive required. Has several flat pins along center of molding plus several smaller pins along upper edge of molding. These fit into a black plastic part that remained on the door. 1
Haz
Welcome to the Forum @Kellmac! The 2020 Edge Workshop Manual indicates the Rear Door Moulding panel is retained to the body by eleven (11) clips attached to the panel's molded-in pedestals. You might try putting a square of masking tape or low-tack painter's tape on the outer face of the panel corresponding to each of the eleven pedestals, to ensure that you are directly engaging each and every retaining clip. If any of your Edge's clips appear to be damaged when compared to the below photo, replacement clips are available per Ford's online parts-selling site, and through your local dealer's Parts Department. And finally, the 2020 Edge Workshop Manual removal & installation procedure is attached below as a PDF document. Good luck! enigma-2
Possibility that when the car wash ripped the part off, one or more of those clips were lost. Think that I seen them *or something like them) at Advanced Auto.
johnmarkp
I am pretty sure I got the Advanced Auto version of these. I ended up having to shave a milometer of plastic off the ends of the two engagement thingies. (not sure what they called) YMMV

Huntk420
Hey all, I'm super heartbroken that one of the lower door molding trims fell off my door and the local Ford Dealerships body shop repair cost is about $650 and I just can't even do that because I've been unemployed for 1.5 year from a hit and run on my scooter near my home and still waiting for disability for my unusable rebuilt left arm. Anyways, I've spent hours looking for it aftermarket and I can worry about the paint later. 2019 Ford Edge ST. Driver door lower, trim molding(?) Am I so unfortunate I need to replace the entire lower door molding trim (black side skirt included) as the body shop said? Does anyone have any advice on potentially finding the part? I feel like I've found grey ones on eBay but incredibly hard to tell. Thanks all!
omar302
Dealers will always be expensive. The part number is ft4z5820879dc and itself is much cheaper. See here for example an OEM part. But the part will require painting to match your color. Also, searching the part number on eBay you will find even cheaper and cheaper still used. If your lucky, you might find one with same color saving you from having to paint it.
