Cropduster802
Does anyone have a preferred brand for replacing the OEM rotors and pads on a 2019 Edge ST. Does not have the brake upgrades (Red calipers)
1004ron
Welcome. Do you have any preferences in mind, ... are you looking for performance improvement, looks, or good reliability and service with low dust? After trying two sets of drilled and slotted I'm very happy with the solid CENTRIC 12561118 High Carbon Alloy rotors and AKEBONO ACT1818 ProACT Ceramic bought on RockAuto.com No vibration or noise under braking at any speed, and good feel with low dust from the Akebono pads. Cropduster802
I have been happy with my OEMs. 125k miles. Looks like the rears will need replacing soon so I was going to do both front and rear kits. So many options out there but solid rotors and ceramic pads are probably what I will go with. I do not mind going high end if the extra $$ is worth it.
enigma-2
When I last had my rotors / pads changed, I had my Ford service dept go with the upgraded pads. (Same OEM rotors, why waste your money, emergency stops are controlled by tire size, not rotor size/type.) Anyway, I did notice that the braking on mild stops was somewhat improved. That was several thousand miles ago and I've never had a single complaint with these pads.
