99jhawk
Oil change coming up and I anticipate getting a recommendation for an induction service. 2018 SE with just under 60k miles, no gas mileage concerns and this service has never been done before on the vehicle. I've read a number of posts and forums, as well as watched several videos, and it seems like the benefits of this service are debatable, while there may be potential risks given the 2.0L EcoBoost engine architecture? I see some people say you should only walnut blast the valves because the chemical-based processes can easily "cook" the turbocharger. However, wouldn't a Ford dealership know this and therefore use the appropriate process? So, what are the latest thoughts among the community? Is this a beneficial service? No risk if completed at a Ford dealer? Thanks!
Wubster100
I am also interested in this. My 2021 2.0l is at 70k mi. Although I would rather wait closer to 100k or 150k before I get an induction service.
