Retrofit 360 Camera Into Ford Edge

Recommended Posts

@Haz Can you post the connector pin out of the front controls for the 2021-2024 Edge? It is the one that connects to the airbag light indicator, camera button, hazard lights button, max defrost button, volume and tune knob, etc. Also curious to see what module these buttons are connected to.

Yes, you will need to use FORScan. There will be a change in the BCM to disable the rear camera LIN circuit, because the front and rear camera LIN circuit will connect to the IPMB instead. And some changes in the APIM.

Wish you good luck. Maybe also study the possibility of enabling the rear camera to view 180 degrees like the front camera?

The rear 180 degree camera is so useful because you can see way more. The view is amazing! 🤩

Any update on this.

Still working on my cameras. I replaced the rear camera, so I have rear 180 Split View. I think that I will order an Explorer front camera bracket to mount a front camera without having to replace the bumper.

I can’t confirm if it is possible to align the cameras with the pattern and FDRS. I haven’t tried yet.

The only difference on your 2019 is that you have SYNC 3. Here is a picture of a SYNC 3 Edge with the 360 camera system:
