Stripped rotor for raising and lowering driver's seat on 2016 Edge Titanium ...

Recommended Posts

Front, back, lumbar support all work on my 2016 Edge power driver seat. Raising and lowering the seat has become a problem. The motor works fine but the seat keeps slipping off the ratchet when raising and lowering.

Can sometimes get the seat to hold position but it takes a lot of experimentation. Feels as if the rotor might be stripped. Has anyone else have this problem and gotten it fixed ?

Ford dealer service is saying it is a fairly big deal and could be expensive. So maybe buy some parts online ? Maybe find the same seat in a bone yard and swap out the whole deal ? Appreciate hearing some ideas.
