BlazedUp
I'm having all 4 rims replaced due to the corrosion of the outer aluminum rim on Friday. Has anyone else had theirs replaced with the supposed new part number and manufacturer ? If so, did you notice any difference with the new rims. Also, is it possible to use the stick on weights with the new rims?
Lex Talionis
"corrosion of the outer aluminum rim" or is it "corrosion of the outer chrome clad rim"? have read/seen tons about the chrome clads, but not the aluminum.. like mine, the "premium painted aluminum" for example also, pretty sure you can use stick on weights with really any rim, no? who the heck wants those nasty clip on anyway.. I have stick on on my actual truly full aluminum Ford rim
BlazedUp
The outer rim is clear coat aluminum which is where the weights are attached. The plastic is fine.

BlazedUp
New rims being installed as I type. They look the same as the oldies but not corroded! We'll see how they hold up.......at least until next winter....
