Since my old dealer decided that my business was not needed by them, I had to search for a different dealer to address the transmission issue that I am having with my 2019 Edge SEL 2Lturbo.

I bought an extended warranty when I bought my Edge, two years ago. When I bought it, I had a choice of extended warranties to consider. The dealer I purchased the Edge from offered Ford, Chrysler, and Zurich warranties. But the credit union that financed the purchased, offered a Route 66 warranty for a MUCH better price.

Now that I have a transmission issue, the dealer where I purchased the Edge would NOT honor the Route 66 warranty. So, I found a dealer that would.

Morries Ford in Tomah Wisconsin is that dealer. They also have several other dealerships around Wisconsin and I believe one is Minnesota.

We worked with a service writer named Sera, and she is an absolute delight to work with. She is the go between to us and the service department and also the warranty company.

 

The dealership is very nice and well situated. Something that I have never experienced was that the repair technician created a VIDEO of his diagnosis of the issue with my Edge. And I was (am) able to see exactly what he sees (saw) while he did a complete walk around of my vehicle. He showed the "burping" of fluid out of the transmission bleeder, and even drew a sample of the fluid for a visual inspection. He also inspected the car from front to rear, all on video. I was impressed and if I am able, will include that video with this post. My skills are not the greatest.

 

All in all, when and If I purchase my 'next" vehicle, I will definitely give Morries my first business! Whether it is another Ford, that is uncertain, as Ford has been pissing me off for a number of years now. Morries has dealerships in other auto brands.
