K&N Cold Air Intake - 2011 Ford Edge SEL 3.5L

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences adding a K&N cold air intake to their edge? I was thinking about purchasing one but didn't know if it was worth the $350-400 and can't seem to find any used. I would love to hear any feedback you have if you have made this modification. As well as if anyone is selling a used one?

Thanks!

So.. a member posted a legitimate question regarding a mod he was thinking about adding… I responded with a hands on experience pertaining to his question with a honest response.. but a few keyboard warriors on here thought my post was funny.. I’ve been a professional engine builder for over 45 years specializing in Porsche.. Lamborghini performance.. so to those warriors out the who share their expertise in puddle lights and installing mag wheels and fixing lift gates, your opinion really don’t matter as much as you think

Good points Larry, but how does changing an air intake allow more air to pass through the throttle body?

Just like upgraded intake manifolds and larger throttle body’s that are more efficient.. S&B air box is slightly larger and more efficient than stock box with a flat air filter .. getting air to the intake manifold is a important factor.. we’ve picked up has much 10/20 hp on the dyno just by playing around with different filters .. I’m not saying I achieved that with this air box, but I did see some improvement.. and I like the way it sounds
