ColinM31
Hello! I recently started noticing a loud, rhythmic, noise when braking and halting at low speeds. I can only really describe it as a creaking noise. I had all 4 brakes checked (twice), they were all cleaned and lubricated again but the noise continues. Any ideas as to what is the cause of this? The mechanic says it's not a safety concern but the noise is driving me nuts. The pads have plenty of life on them. Any help you can provide I would greatly appreciate! enigma-2
It's possible that the pads could have pieces of metal or gunk embedded in them. Last brake job, did you put in OEM or aftermarket? Metallic or organic? (Organic is softer & quieter, tiny pieces of metal can embed in them and cause squeeking.)
