Diego2014Edge
Folks, hi Does anyone have experience with the following? I am being told the rear differential clutches are sticking hence why the car shudders when making a left turn at low speed. Does this sound like an accurate assessment? is that a typical rear diff clutch symptom? Can clutches be repaired/replaced? Also being told that Ford is not making the part, but if the part were to be available its a $4k repair. For dilemma, I just replaced the water pump and PTU this month and when I got the car back noticed the left turn shuddering was still present. SonicTheEdgehog
I had the same clutch problems 2 years ago in my 2013 with the same exact symptoms when turning at low speeds, and all noise was coming from the clutch itself. I was able to find the ATC replacement at a dealership for about $700 then I installed it and had to program the new 4 digit ATC barcode to the PCM with forscan. The software didn't have an option to program this code so I had to contact forscan for a custom software version that added this option. I found all of this on various threads in here but have no idea on how to tag those here as I’ve just started using this site. I do still have some screenshots I used to help me through this process.
