PrinzII
I have gotten the same recall for my 2018 Edge with a 3.5L V6.
Bunky
I do not like these kind of recalls in that I would guess engine performance would be reduced.
flymore
I also got this recall for my 2018 Edge with 3.5L V6. The car just passed emissions test fine, I have no lights or issues and am reluctant to take it in.
rafeeki
I see no one has yet reported any problems with the recall fix. I got my notice earlier this week, planning on taking it in, in a few days. Hoping for no issues. Ill post my experience
MikeInPA
My 2022 Edge just had this recall performed on 12/3. Before the recall, my fuel level was 98% with 343 miles to empty. After the recall, it said 450 miles to empty. Today it's at 64% and 299 miles to go. I'll wait to see what it says after my first fill up. Estimated miles until empty is correct now after a couple of tanks of gas. I think it needed to see what my current average MPG was. Also note that I had the car battery replaced at the same appointment, so maybe that reset the estimated miles to go? Edited December 30, 2024 by MikeInPA mistyped year of car, updated miles until empty estimate
rafeeki
I had my recall 24E09 notice taken care of at the dealership yesterday. There is no change in the vehicles performance. As good as before. Rafeek 1
Katy
I had this recall performed in September. Since then I had issues with my 2022 Ford Edge. First it was the purge valve that needed replacement, then the EGR valve failed (luckily Ford covered it), a week later the car is still stalling and "hickuping". I took it in and now it's the sensor tube to the EGR valve EGR pressure differential inlet tube. Neither Ford nor my extended warranty cover it. The issues started since recall. Either the mechanic made an error or the recall messed up my car. Not sure what to do now.
Steve JC
2022 Platinum 2.0l, had this software recall done this past November. I don't drive this vehicle much (wife car) and recently noticed that the one of the dash display selection screens has disappeared, Display Mode for trip, fuel economy, driver assist, settings is gone!! Also notice engine noise from outside vehicle is much louder, sounds to me like a dry turbo squalling. On the plus side, the transmission shifts much better than it had been. Anybody else notice strange things happen??
