Deco567
Purchased the vehicle used two weeks ago and it ran perfectly smooth. Today, started it up and it sounds like this. I don’t have warranty on this vehicle. It sounds loud when driving and stays loud. Very worried. (Ford Edge 2020 SEL 2.0 eco boost). 1004ron
Cant make much out in the video/audio. What's the mileage? What's the service history - oil change intervals, and by who? Have you checked the oil level? Stop in at a place like Autozone and have them read the stored fault codes.
Deco567
Thank you for your reply. 59500km or 37000 miles on the vehicle. Oil was changed roughly two weeks ago and looks clear/at a good level. No check engine notifications light up, but engine sounds noticeably different.

1004ron
In Canada the powertrain warranty is 5yrs / 100,000km - why don't you have any warranty cover? Is the warranty not carried over to the second owner?
lildisco
Sounds pretty normal to me. I bought an engine cover to lessen the noise
Biker
You should still be under warranty. I couldn't hear the attachment, but if you are hearing a loud high frequency ticking noise, it is probably the high pressure injection pump. It sits right on top of the engine, a bit offset to the drivers side and has a small foam cover on it. They can be noisy at times, I dont know why , but they seem to quiet down when warm.
