Sierra
I have a 2017 Ford Edge Sport that was making an odd wind noise at speed and upon investigation I found that a passenger side rear suspension shield had separated from the chassis and was only being held by a small plastic plug. This shield is very large and heavy and could do damage or injure someone if completely separated at speed. I called my Ford dealer’s service department and was informed that this is a known defect on Ford Edges manufactured before 2020. Has anyone seen this before? I would image this is a serious hazard and should be addressed with a recall. Below is a photo of my passenger rear suspension shield. The only thing preventing it from completely separating from my Edge is that small plastic plug attached to the flexible inner fender cover.
