jaques
Hello, My trunk has been stuck shut for a few months. I have checked similar discussions on this forum and come to the conclusion that the trunk actuator is the problem, it seems to be a somewhat common issue. I've found this is a cheap part to replace, but the problem is that I am unable to open the trunk in the first place to begin the replacement. There seems to be no actual documentation for the part online if there is a way to manually release the actuator. If not, what would be the best way to get the actuator loose without destroying the back panel or frame? The part is FA1Z-7443150-A
omar302
If you search on you tube "ford edge manual trunk release" you'll get several videos. The process is also described in the owners manual, but the exact process depends on your model year, 2008-2014 or 2015+.
