Mwalsh327
I have a 2008 Ford Edge SE with 138k miles. I’ve noticed the air flow from the vents is very poor, and it gets progressively worse from the passenger side to the driver side. (Passenger side strongest and driver side weakest, though overall they are too weak for my liking). It’s so bad the driver side vent I barely feel any air coming out and this is with the AC on max and coldest setting. I replaced the blower motor behind the glove compartment and cleaned the cabin filter with minimal improvement. Any other suggestions/opinions would be appreciated. 1004ron
"Cleaned the cabin air filter" - if it were me I'd be replacing it, and continue the search from there. Measure the voltage at the blower - could be the speed regulator isn't supply full voltage.
Mwalsh327
Poor word choice by me, it’s just a mesh netting not an actual filter.
1004ron
Not being familiar with this 2008 model, but I expected them to have a filter on that age of vehicle, and a screen of that type at the intake just forward of the windshield. I see its an option to use the screen or filter.

Thanks.

It’s so bad the driver side vent I barely feel any air coming out and this is with the AC on max and coldest setting. The blower motor behind the glove compartment was replaced not too long ago and I cleaned the cabin mesh filter with minimal improvement. Of note, the AC compressor was recently changed about a 2 weeks ago. Even with the installation of the new ac compressor and recharging the system, the air still doesn't feel cold enough. I've also noticed as the outdoor temperature rises in my area the AC seems to work even less. (I don't know if this is anything of significant, but during the winter months, it is the opposite of what I mentioned above. When I have the heat on the vents do the same thing, so the far right passenger side will blow the warmest air/heat and it gets progressively cooler as it gets to the driver side, it almost feels like I have the AC on by the driver side vents in the winter time) The blower motor resistor was checked and is working properly. Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. Edited July 5 by Mwalsh327
