FL Res
2008 Ford edge SEL As I was driving my wife’s edge to work there was a pop clank the engine cut off in the car coasted to a stop free wheel. Tooted home and discovered the transmission was dry so something blew out. I will include a picture. Couple questions it seems. It was a safety feature that the drivetrain broke free after the transmission failed; is this correct? Second question is when I went to tow the edge home I attempted to turn the engine over which it did not. Is there a reset that must take place? So now I’m looking at replacing a transmission this weekend. thanks
