mikelc2
The aluminum finish on my centre console is dented, due to a friend fumbling their cellphone and essentially throwing it at the dash. What can I do about this? Can I order a replacement? Can I get a replacement at a lower cost from somewhere besides ford, as I'm sure they would be happy to overcharge me for it. Lex Talionis
eBay is where I would start. people sell parted out Edge parts like that all the time. BUT the bummer is, that center console is all 1 big unit and contains all of the controls for the info system, climate control, etc.. so do not think you can just buy that separate aluminum insert unless you went right to Ford assuming you could even separate it from the rest of the console which I am not sure you can as when you pull on that, it will remove the entire center console (I know as I have removed mine a dozen times). I have an extra dash console due to a dealer f'ing up mine. The entire piece runs about $350 (dealer cost). Mine has the elctronic a/c controls which just snap into it and you can just keep yours for the new piece. If you'd like for me to remove the metal part and sell it, make me an offer. Lex Talionis
I stand corrected. I have had my center console off many, many times for various projects and was using recollection that the aluminum piece was permanently attached to the full console unit, but it seems not so. I would say Mikecl2 has his fix right here right now

Anywho, I have the whole console up in my attic, just waiting for some love.
