atulo
My 2019 SEL FWD with Equipment Group 201A and Convenience package got 31K miles with no problems. Following this forum, I worry about the failure of coolant intrusion and transmission so I think about buying Ford Protect Extended Service Plan. I got a quote of PremiumCARE Plan $4000 for 5 years, 48K miles, $100 deductible. Any advice or opinion. Thanks.
edgeidiot
When I bought my extended warranty, I did a search to find other posts already made here. They suggested using dealerships that sell Ford Factory extended warranties online. The price that you quoted was probably from a local Ford dealer as I think you could get that warranty for around $1,300 (depending on your state of residence) and there is a code that gives you an additional discount of $365 for payment in full at Ziegler Ford which is where I bought mine. 1

Extended warranties normally start at the original warranty start date with zero miles. Is this a 5 year warranty (which would start in 2019) or 5 MORE years from today? I bought my extended warranty from Flood Ford online.
atulo
The $4000 quote is from FordProtect. The warranty covers up to 2029 and 79000 miles. I just checked Lombard Ford and got a quote of $3400/5yrs and $3600/6yrs with 50K miles, $100 deductible. The light protection is $130. Its price is better than the one I got from FordProtect. I will check local dealers.
Will2U
That quote from Lombard Ford is much better. Always add the light option! I see too many nice cars on the road with LEDs out.
JoeVic
Check Flood Ford also. I got a very good price from them.
garycrist
Aren't Ford ESPs based on the new car's original date of purchase and 0 mileage?

Got this message: We are sorry but due to Florida law, Florida Residents are not eligible for out of state service contracts. Please contact your local dealer.
