[Success😁] Has anyone installed adaptive cruise control (ACC) on 2019-2024 Edge?

I am using SW-8183 (DG9Z-9C888-GC) This does not have lane centering. It has a LIM button but I haven't enabled it or tried to use it.

I have a confirmation that you must replace the ABS module to one that supports CADSIII for lane centering to work.

Interesting.  Does this also make it Stop and Go ACC?  How much programing did you have to do.

For 2019-2020 Edge, you must disconnect the brake lines and replace the entire abs module. Then you need to enter your VIN number and complete the ABS calibration. This can all be done using FORScan. Stop and go, lane centering, and evasive steering assist all work. 
 

For 2021-2024 Edge, more information is still needed because PATS immobilizer could be part of the ABS module. FORScan does not currently support ABS service functions or PATS service functions for 2021-2024 Edge.

 

I am going to order an ABS module for my 2021.

This gives me a lot to think about.  The ABS module is not that expensive.  Putting it in would be a pain on my bad back.

A few updates to the cruise control project:

 

1. I have not replaced the lower front bumper cover trim to one that protects the cruise control module. So far, no damage or sensor blockage has occurred. I was able to use adaptive cruise control in the rain. I did not notice any snow or dirt accumulate on the sensor.

 

2. The ABS module will need to be replaced for lane centering, evasive steering assist, and ACC to 0 mph. I have received an ABS module. Currently, FORScan does not have any ABS service functions for the 2021-2024 Edge. However, the FORScan Team has sent me a test build, so I should be able to calibrate the ABS module and bleed the brakes. Hopefully I will be able to find time to replace the ABS module and bleed the brakes soon.

 

3. A little while ago, my ACC and pre collision assist stopped working. The cause of this problem was a poor connection (done by me lol). The CCM was only getting about 8 volts of power. The solution to this was to fix my bad wiring and ensure the CCM communication wires are a twisted pair.
